The current status of research on bacterial wilt of groundnut in Asia (specifically China and Vietnam) is reviewed. Particular emphasis is given to the available disease management options,and their packaging and validation in on-farm participatory research at hot-spot locations in China and Vietnam. Papers describing the status of the disease (wilt pathogen, Burkholderia solanacearum [Ralstonia solanacearum]) in China and Vietnam are included.
