Eight Indian herbs popularly used for medicinal purpose were evaluated for Antioxidant activity of extracts by DPPH method. The results showed that methanolic extract of all the plant materials had very high antioxidant activity, amongst them, Allium hookeri extract in the methanol showed highest value of AOA by DPPH methods (33 %).
