Wilt disease: Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.ciceri
Kannada name: Sorgu roga or baadu roga
Damaging systems
- Leaves turned to yellow, drying and ultimately shedding of leaves.
- Roots look like healthy.
- If we cut stem cross sectionaly the water movement portion gets turned to black. 5-30 % loss
Management:
- Treat the seeds with Capton or Thiram or Mecozeb @ 2 gram/kg or 4 gram Trichoderma
- Diseases plant should Uproot and burn the plant from the start of ploughing to harvesting time
