General Information :
Survives in organic matter.
The disease occurs at 30-80% soil moisture and at high nitrogen levels.
Dark brown lesions above
the collar regionSymptoms :
Seen up to 6 weeks after sowing. In irrigated chickpea, the disease may occur at later stages in the crop growth.- Affected seedlings turn yellow. Petioles and leaves droop.
- A distinct dark brown lesion appears above the collar region on the main stem and can extend to lower branches.
Control : Seed treatment with captan, thiram, benlate, PCNB at 3 g kg -1 of seed.
