Sub Soiling

Sub soiling in sugarcane is required and is very necessary. Sub soiling helps in providing congenial environment for plant crop. As we know sugarcane set are placed at a depth of 15 cm or more while planting and our conventional tillage implements like disc harrow and cultivator are unable to provide tilth beyond 10 to 12 cm deep. Therefore,  It is always advisable to farmers that planting of sugaracane for good harvest must be performed after deep tillage or sub soiling. Deep tillage provides enough space for root development which ultimately led better plant nutrient uptake and crop stand.
