Sowing of Crotalaria juncea

Sowing of Crotalaria juncea shall be done by first week of April. Allow Crotalaria to grow for 45 days with irrigation as and when required. Incorporate it on the dry soil and apply water after incorporation. After 12-15 days prepare the field for nursery. Rock phosphate @ 1 kg/m² to be applied at the time of Crotalaria incorporation. At the time of nursery raising apply ZnSO₄ @ 100 g/m². In addition to this, if zinc deficiency is observed in nursery, 2 sprays of ZnSO₄ (0.5%) + lime (0.25%) in water at 10 and 20 days after sowing is recommended.
