Deepali Tewari, GBPUAT

 

Plains

Potato

  • In late maturing varieties spray 0.2% Endofil-45 solution.
  • Start digging the seed crop.
  • Send intact medium size potato to cold storage.

Tomato

  • Transplant the seedlings at 60x45 cm distance.
  • Apply 100 kg nitrogen, 80 kg phosphorus and 80 kg potash at the time of last harrowing.
  • Apply 50 kg urea per hectare in crop planted in January.

Brinjal

  • Apply 200-300 qt well rotten cow dung manure or compost in soil.
  • Apply 100 kg nitrogen, 8-0 kg phosphorus and 80 kg potash per hectare.
  • Transplant the seedlings at a distance of 60x45 cm.

  Pea

  • Remove undesirable plants from the seed crop.
  • Spray 0.06 % Karathane for the management of powdery mildew.
  • Harvest the mature crop.

Cauliflower

  • Harvest the crop when it attains appropriate size.
  • Give light irrigation in seed crop. 

 

Cabbage

  • Remove undesirable plants and spray 0.15 % Metasystox for the management of aphids.

Turnip, Carrot, Raddish

  • Apply 50 kg urea/ha in seed crop and give light irrigation
  • Remove undesirable plants and spray 0.15 % Metasystox for the management of aphids.

Onion, garlic

  • Give irrigation if required.
  • Do hoeing and weeding and apply 50 kg urea in the crop.

Palak, Methi, Coriander

  • Harvest the crop, prepare bunches and send it to market.
  • Remove the undesirable plants from the seed crop and give irrigation.
  • Spray Rogar 0.2% for the management of insect-pest.

Lady finger, Cowpea, Rajma

  • Apply 75 kg nitrogen, 60 kg phosphorus and 60 kg potash per hectare after sowing and last harrowing.

Capsicum

  • Do hoeing and irrigation in crop planted in January.
  • Spray 0.2% Endofil-45 and 0.2% Thiodon for the management of diseases and insect-pest.

Cucurbitaceous crops

  • Do hoeing, weeding and give irrigation.

 

Hills

Potato

  • Prepare the field for sowing early maturing varieties.
  • Apply 150 kg nitrogen, 100 kg phosphorus and 100 kg potash at the time of sowing.
  • Plant-plant distance=15-20 cm
  • Line-line distance=45-60 cm
  • Depth=5-7 cm

Tomato

  • Sow the seed in nursery
    1. Plant-plant distance =15-20 cm
    2. Line -line distance =10-15 cm

Capsicum

  • Sow the seed in nursery
  • Seed rate=1-1.5 kg/ha

Cucurbitaceous crops

  • Dig the furrow at a distance of 1.5x1.0 meter for sowing the seeds.
  • Apply 10-15 kg well rotten cow dung manure,20-25 gm urea, 50 gm single super phosphate and 15 gm MOP per furrow.
  • Sow 5-6 seeds per furrow.

French bean, Lima bean

  • Prepare the field and apply 25-30 ton well rotten cow dung manure per hectare.
  • Also apply 250 kg Ammonium sulphate, 500 kg single super phosphate and 125 kg MOP per hectare
