Chemical Control of  Groundnut Thrips

  • At 20 to 30 days, spray dimethoate 30 EC @ 1.7 ml/l or fenthion 100 EC @ 0.5 ml/l or phosphomidon 85 WSC @ 0.5 ml / l water.
  • Bajra intercropping (4:1) + oxydemeton methyl @ 1.5 ml/l water.
  • Sorghum leaf extract: Sorghum dried leaves or coconut frond with 1:4 ratio with water. Slightly it has to be boiled. The extract should be mixed in the ratio of 1:9 with water.0.1 % soap powder should be mixed. Spray at 25 DAS and 35 DAS as a curative spray.
