How can we distinguish between what is Certified and what is Scientifically Proven. We encounter this enigma in medical science, where some of the native systems of medicine such as Ayurveda and Unani from India. Mahikari and Reiki from Japan or for that matter Pranic Healing from Phillippines are undoubtedly certified at various levels for purposes of grant of academic degrees as well as licensing of practitioners but Conventional Medical Science does not accept them as scientifically proven. What is more fascinating is that proponents of these native systems often portray them as holistic in approach and decry any attempts to negate their scientific status. This could be true in the field of Agriculture as well.
