Causal Organism: Alternaria, Helminthosporium, Fusarium

 


Chief symptoms: the Pericarps of maturing wheat kernels turn dark to black with the discoloration restricted to the germ end of kernel.

 

Control measures: Treating the seed before sowing with Thiram or Vitavax@2.5gm/kg seed
