Description
- Bathua is important broad leaves weed which are interfering wheat crop
- Lambs quarter is an annual weed with erect, smooth, ridged and branched stem.
- Inflorescence is a dense cluster of green flowers and each plant produces about 30 to 40 thousand seeds.
- Its leaves are used as green vegetable. The stem has pink or purple colour strips and has a strong tap root system.
- Leaves are stalked, wedge shaped, silvery green in colour and lower side mealy in appearance.

Control Measure
- Pre emergence application of pendimethalin 30 EC (Stomp) @ 3.3 l/ha in 500-750 liters of water at the time of 2-3 days after sowing
- Post emergence application of 2, 4-D @ 500 g/ha, sulfosulfuron @ 25 g/ha and isoproturon @ 1kg/ha in 250-300 litres of water at the time of 30-35 days after of sowing.
