It is semi tall, 145 days duration, long slender aromatic variety with good elongation on cooking. It is field tolerant to Bacterial leaf blight and moderately resistant to leaf blast and neck blast.

A maturity day of this variety is 135-140 days. It is resistant to sheath blight and moderately resistant to leaf and neck blast as well as tolerant stem borer. Grain type long slender and yield potential is 35-45 q/ha.

Pusa Basmati 1

It is medium statured variety which matures in 135-140 days and yield potential is 4.0-4.5 tonnes/ha. Grains are long and slender with good cooking quality and pleasant aroma. It is susceptible to bacterial leaf blight, blast and stem borer. This variety is being exported from the country.

Taraori Basmati

It is a tall variety (155 cm). It has extra long grain and excellent cooking and eating quality. It takes about 155 days to mature while yield potential is 2.5-3.0 tonnes/ha. It is susceptible to bacterial leaf blight, blast and stem borer.

It is a tall variety with long and slender grains. Rice is soft and tasty on cooking. Variety takes 140-150 days for maturity with 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes/ha yields potential. Stem is weak and prone to lodging as well as variety is susceptible to bacterial leaf blight, blast and stem borer.

It is a photo insensitive, semi dwarf, high yielding variety of 125-130 days duration. It has desirable cooking quality, resistant to blast and tolerant to stem borer.

It is medium statured variety which matures in 130-135 days. Its yield potential is 4.5-5.0 tonnes/ha. Its grains are long, slender, white and translucent with good aroma.

The plant is medium tall with 116-120 cm height. It matures in 140 days. Its yield potential is 4.0-4.5 tonnes/ha. Its grains are long slender and translucent with strong aroma. It is susceptible to bacterial leaf blight and blast but moderately resistant to stem rot.

It is a traditional tall (160 cm) basmati variety with excellent grain quality and commands high prices in export market. It is susceptible to lodging and bacterial leaf blight. Yield potential is 20-30 tonnes/ha and matures in 145-150 days.
