General Information
  • caused by Pseudomonas syringae / Pseudomonas pisi.
  • Wet and warm (30oC) conditions favor disease development.

Symptoms

  • Leaves dry up and are shed.

  • The disease may show up as post- emergence damping off, killing the seedlings within 3 - 4 days. Lesions on leaves turn dark brown, and cause a soft rot of infected tissues.

No control measures are known.
