This Agricultural University was named after the illustrious son of Vidarbha Dr. Panjabrao (alias Bhausaheb) Deshmukh, who was the Minister for Agriculture, Govt. of India. The jurisdiction of this university is spread over the eleven districts of Vidarbha. The University has its main campus at Akola.

ABOUT US: Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidypeeth (http://www.dbskkv.org) is having jurisdiction of five district of Maharashtra viz. Brihan-Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra state. The major objective of the university is agricultural education, research & extension education in an integrated way to attain the sustainable agricultural development of Konkan region. For the agricultural development of konkan region, Maharashtra Govt.

ABOUT US: The seed for the establishment and growth of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University (TANUVAS) (http://www.tanuvas.tn.nic.in) was   sown as early as 1876,when the Madras Veterinary College   was  started  as  an  Agricultural  School  in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate  course  in  the  field  of veterinary   and animal sciences.

ABOUT US: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) www.uasd.edu came into being on June 1, 1971. TNAU assumed full responsibilities of Agricultural Education and Research and supported the State Agricultural Department by delivering research products. Till 1946, the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, was the only Institute for Agricultural Education for the whole of South India.
