धान के आदर्श प्रारूप (आइडियों टाइप) तना (कल्म) छोटा एवं कठोर होना चाहिए। दोजियां सीधी एवं सघन होनी चाहिए। इसे अधिक दोजियां उत्पन्न करने वाली प्रजाति होनी चाहिए। पत्ती मोटी, छोटी एवं सीधी होनी चाहिए। पुष्प गुच्छ अधिक लंबा और अधिक भारी होना चाहिए।
